Erlenmeyer/shaker flasks are nonpyrogenic and ideal for culture, storage, media preparation, molecular biology, and related applications. Excellent for non-adhering/suspension cultures. Tested with E. coli cultures for improved nucleic acid yield. Manufactured from virgin, optically clear, medical-grade resin that retains its clarity after being exposed to gamma radiation. Flasks are inert, nonleaching, and feature a wide temperature tolerance and uniform thickness. Molded-in graduations for accuracy. Fit all standard shaking incubator clamps. Flasks are available with either a flat or baffled base. The 1000mL and 2000mL flasks are available with a larger 53B neck size.

Flasks are provided with the unique DuoCAP cap, a vented cap with a 0.22µm pore-size PTFE membrane for aerobic (sterile air exchange) or anaerobic (no air transfer) applications. These caps allow aerobic and anaerobic cultures to be performed in the same flask without changing the cap.

Flasks and DuoCAP caps are autoclavable and sterility tested to SAL 10^–6.
